  The APUAF team that created the Covid-19 Fact Sheets provided a quick history of why and how these tools came together before opening the discussion of restarting programs with new protocols affecting nearly every aspect of programs.

Diversity Workshop – April 29th

EUASA held a workshop to discuss examples of practical application of diversity, equity and inclusion in study abroad programs. EUASA was joined by Susan Sánchez-Casal, Director of Tufts-Skidmore in Madrid, and Christine Kelly-Vereda, Director of CASA Granada, who provided specific examples of applying DEI concepts to programs, curriculums, and faculty support.

Agreement EUASA & Forum of Education Abroad

On December 12th EUASA and the Forum of Education Abroad signed an agreement of Reciprocal Membership to cooperate and support each other’s organization for mutual benefit.

Critical Dialogue – Nov 10th 2020

EUASA and the Forum on Education Abroad offered a Critical Dialogue entitled “Education Abroad in Europe: All Voices at the Table”. Onsite directors and staff explored how to create stronger alliances and how to improve meaningful communication especially in moments of crisis, fostering greater inclusion in relevant discussions.

Community Connections

EUASA hosted a series of 1-hour sessions for European On-Site Staff to network, discuss topics of interest, and plan the way forward for study abroad in Europe.

When COVID-19 hit Europe, EUASA leveraged its network to ensure members shared information and best practices. EUASA gathered data and led a discussion of how European programs were adapting to changes and what future models were envisioned.

EUASA’s Annual Assembly – May 7th 2020

Due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, EUASA’s annual Assembly and Board Meeting hosted by APUNE (Madrid) took place online.

EUASA in Brussels – January 20th 2020

EUASA delegates visited the ERASMUS+ offices in Brussels and met with officers of the DG for Education & Culture and DG Migration & Home Affairs as a first step to inform officers about the association’s work.
